ERIC DELABAR
CAMP DIRECTOR
Eric Delabar will be entering his 30th year as a soccer camp director and this year will be his 28th year directing the Saints Soccer Camps.
Delabar brings a vast amount of coaching and playing experience to the Saints camps. He holds a USSF National “A” coaching license, has served as an assistant soccer coach at Washington University in St. Louis and St. Louis University, and coached at the high school level as the head boys’ soccer coach at Fort Zumwalt North High School for 12 years and the head girls’ soccer coach for 20 years. He has also been a member of the Maryville University soccer coaching staff for the last 26 years.
As a student-athlete at Quincy University, Delabar was an All-American goalkeeper, won three National Championships, graduated from Quincy in 1979, and then played professional soccer for both the New York Cosmos and the St. Louis Steamers. He is in the Quincy HOF, the St. Louis Soccer HOF, and the NAIA HOF as well.
Delabar is a retired PE teacher who taught for 35 years, 32 in the Fort Zumwalt School District. He and his wife, Alicia, have three children – Mike, Amanda, and Anna.
AL TROST
CAMP STAFF
Arguably the best American born player ever, Al is another coach with years of experience. Trost is a two-time Hermann Award winner recognized as the NCAA Player of the Year. While at St. Louis University, he played on two National Championship teams. He’s a former Olympic team player and World Cup team captain, and in 2006, was inducted into the United States Soccer Hall of Fame. Coach Trost is also a former head coach of the St. Louis Steamers. He is a retired History teacher and was the boys’ and girls’ soccer coach at Parkway South High School.
JEFF CACCIATORE
CAMP STAFF
A 25+ year camp veteran, Coach Cacciatore will continue to lend his expertise to the Saints Soccer Camps. Cacciatore played for Fort Lauderdale in the old NASL, and for seven seasons with the original St. Louis Steamers after a successful career at SIE-Edwardsville, where he won a National Championship. He is recently retired from coaching and teaching at Whitfield School, where he worked for 27 years.
DAN O’KEEFE
CAMP STAFF
Dan has logged an impressive 30+ years with various soccer camps, and is the Camp Technical Director. O’Keefe is a veteran of several NPSL teams including the 1992 Champion Detroit Rockers and the 1993 St. Louis Ambush, and he retired as the league’s all-time leading goal scorer.
MATT LONGO
CAMP STAFF
Matt Longo comes from a great soccer family. His father Frank Longo spent many years at Quincy College (Quincy University) and then later became Chief of Staff for the USSF (United States Soccer Federation). Matt enjoyed a successful playing career at Quincy College winning 4 National Championships titles from 1977-1980. As a High School coach, he has been equally successful winning over 350 games and has 6 State appearances and 19 conference titles. His High School teams have been Nationally ranked in 2009,2011,2012,2014. Matt has been elected to Quincy High School Hall of Fame as well as Quincy College Hall of Fame. Matt has been working over 20 years with various soccer camps and will continue to bring enthusiasm and knowledge to a very talented staff here at the Saints Camps.
MARK OWLIG
CAMP STAFF
A true soccer aficionado at heart, Mark Olwig has devoted 20+ years to help coach with various soccer camps as well. He is a recently retired high school history teacher and coach, having worked the last 28 years at Francis Howell North High School in the boy’s program, as well as being the head coach of the Lady Knights program for 10 years. During that time, the boys earned 13 conference championships and an impressive 11 district championships. Before transitioning to Francis Howell North, Mark Olwig spent 19 years at St. Charles West as the head coach of the Lady Warriors.
